Celebrate Resurrection Sunday & Holy week at CcOT!

March 24 - March 31, 2024

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.  Do you believe this?” (John 11:35-36).

Without question, our greatest enemy is death.  Our greatest hope is the resurrection of Jesus from the dead which affirms God’s power and authority over death!  The resurrection sets us free from the bondage of sin!  The resurrection of Jesus proves God’s great love for you!  “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We invite you to join us at Calvary Chapel Old Towne for our Holy Week services as we celebrate His victory for us!

  • Our church is located on the corner of Waverly and Maple street in Orange and surrounding our building are three parking lots.  If our lots become full there is plenty of parking on the street surrounding our block.

  •  Our Good Friday Service is set to remember Christ's death on the Cross. The night begins with worship by our Sunday Night Worship team, a Scripture lead sermon by Pastor Dave, and ending in a time of silent reflection. Elementary aged kids and Teens will join in on this special service.

Our Resurrection Sunday Service, also known as our Easter service, is a time of celebration of the Resurrection of Christ. The celebration begins with a time of joyful worship (singing songs of praise), saying hello to one another during our greeting time, a sermon from scriptures from Pastor Dave, and ending with more joyful worship. After the services, join everyone out on the lawn for Easter donuts and coffee. The children from Sunday School will be starting their Easter Egg hunt right after the services.

At CCOT we do not pass an offering plate. We do have offering boxes at the sides of the doors and in the courtyard for those who would like to give from a joyful heart.  A percentage from giving goes to missions both locally and internationally. We, also, have giving available online.  At the end of the year, you will receive a giving statement that you can use on your taxes.

  • We encourage you to dress how you want. You do not have to be a certain age, have a certain background or pretend to be anyone but yourself.  This is a place where imperfect people connect with God and are encouraged to live out their God-given purposes. No matter where you are in your faith or life, you are welcome here.

  • Our church is surrounded by three parking lots with handicap ramps accessible or ground level entrances. Our South and North parking lots have handicap ramps that lead into the courtyard. Our courtyard also has two ramps that lead to our bathrooms and Fellowship Hall. All of our bathrooms are handicap accessible. We have areas in the back of the church or any chair can always be removed for wheelchairs. Our ushers are ready to assist you, if you have any questions, or need help finding a spot.

If you are riding the Access bus and are in need of a pickup and drop off time. Our doors open at 8:25 am and our church service times are about an hour and 15 minutes.

  • Yes! We have a fun Sunday planned for your children. Our Children's ministry has an upbeat service with music, videos, and a Bible lesson on the meaning of Easter, plus some fun crafts just for them in Room 24 (Kinder-6th Grade) and Room 33 (for toddlers & babies 6 months and older). The Celebration will continue out on the lawn for an Easter Egg hunt when the service ends.

Safety is very important to us. All of our children's ministry volunteers have been trained in CPR and safety, and background checked. We at CCOT have a two-person safety commitment, where no less than two adults will be in the room with the children. When you arrive,  your child will be checked into our system, a guardian tag will be given to the person dropping off, and the other will be placed on your child. At the end of the celebration, parents can check out their children with the guardian tag. We do ask that you provide a cell phone number in case your child needs you during the service.

    Parents with Babies

We have three changing tables located in the Women's and Men's restrooms in the Foyer as well as a changing table in our Parent's room. Our parent's room is located in the Foyer next to the glass doors with parking for your stroller by the room. Our parent's room is equipped with a TV to watch the sermon live, a changing table, wipes, couches, and power outlets.

Passover "Seder" Dinner

"Messiah in the passover"

MESSIAH IN THE PASSOVER
begins with the traditional Passover Seder table—complete with all the articles of this important Jewish celebration. The speaker will explain the symbolic meanings of the various items of the Passover feast and highlight their relationship to the Last Supper that Messiah celebrated with the disciples, giving special emphasis on the redemptive significance of the crucifixion. MESSIAH IN THE PASSOVER gives the Christian community insight into Jewish traditions so that the Jewish roots of Christianity can be better understood. The experience also helps both Jewish and Christian communities understand their common heritage.

This meeting is open to the public. Both the Christian as well as the Jewish community are invited to attend. A love offering will be received.
