We are so excited for the upcoming summer mission teams going out! This summer we will have teams on three different continents sharing the love of God, serving the needy and down trodden. Below you will find out more information about Uganda, Kenya, Ecuador, Israel, West Asia and South Asia.
Summer Missions 2025
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
(Matt. 28:19 NKJV)
Uganda & Kenya
Hope Children's Home, Hopeland Junior School, & Spoken Word
Pastor Dave Johnson will be leading a team of five adults and five teenagers to Uganda and Kenya this June. In Uganda, who will assist Arthur and Lydia at Hope Children's Home, an orphanage our fellowship has supported for many years. Their needs are many — repairs, bedding, mattresses, and especially water. Due to city water cuts, we're looking into drilling a borehole, which, though more expensive than digging, provides cleaner, more reliable water.
We also plan to complete the Calvary Hall at Hopeland Junior School — a much-needed space for chapels, exams, and community gatherings. While there, we’ll teach Bible stories and introduce the staff to the Simply the Story methods, with the goal of conducting a full workshop in the future.
After Uganda, our team will head to Kakuma, in northern Kenya, to assist the Spoken Word Center. During the day, we'll travel in pairs with translators to share the Gospel in Turkana villages. At night, we’ll show The God Story and Jesus films. We also hope to launch a goat program to help impoverished families rebuild their herds after devastating losses. We intend to purchase about 100 - 200 goats. This will allow us to give each small village about 10 goats to share and raise. With no herds to sell there is no food and no money. The Spoken Word center has continually tried to supply some food but it is not enough. We hope that the goat program will be the beginning of some relief.

Israel
Simply The Story Workshops
Alan and Naomi Tan will be heading to Israel in June to lead Simply the Story workshops in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Pastor Dave Johnson had the privilege of encouraging ministries there last September, and it's thrilling to see the fruit continuing to grow. Jon Davidsen, a worker we support, sent the following message, “Hey guys, since Pastor Dave came out here we’ve been using STS more in different contexts and people have expressed interest in a workshop.” Equipping believers in Israel with this Bible study method is an exciting part of the Kingdom work.

Ecuador & Bolivia
Reaching the Unreached
Pastor Gerardo will be traveling with Felipe (our minister with Los Rucos, Chile) to Palanda, Ecuador. A couple there who recently came to faith has asked for help sharing the Gospel with their neighbors — there are no churches and no other believers in their area at the entrance to the Amazon. Gerardo and Felipe plan to disciple the couple and help them evangelize to their community.
They then plan to visit an indigenous village in Bolivia to connect with the unreached indigenous Bolivians.
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!'” -Isaiah 52:7

West Asia
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
(Matthew 24:14)
A small team from CCOT will be heading into West Asia — to join our missionary in that region for very important work. More details will be coming soon! Pray for this team as they will be working in a hostile but fertile area.
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'”

South Asia
Equipping the Faithful
Another one of our pastors will be flying to another hostile area in South Asia this September where he will be addressing the graduating class at the at one of our ministry schools, equipping young men preparing for ministry with tools to preach the Word with clarity and purpose.
In a region where prepared sermons are rare, he’s excited to teach verse-by-verse from a book of the Bible and train them to boldly share their faith with the goal of planting house churches. From there, he will travel to another country in South Asia for a pastor’s conference to uplift, encourage, and introduce expository Bible teaching to leaders hungry for the Word!

Prayer: The essential Part
With all these missions, please pray for the financial resources, health, stamina, but most importantly for open hearts to receive the Good News of the Kingdom of God!
